The Athens 30 Mile Meal community owes its existence to the support of collaborating partners. Partners of the 30 Mile Meal represent the entities that work as administrators for the 30 Mile Meal, keeping it functional, up to date, and local.
The ACCVB maintains the 30 Mile Meal map and the 30 Mile Meal Facebook page. In addition, they lend both financial and staff support to advertising 30 Mile Meal events.
ACEnet’s programming staff are active in organizing events during 30 Mile Meal month and in creating promotional materials to advertise the participants and events. They also support participating restaurants by sharing information on social media.
The RFRL Institute is the home of the 30 Mile Meal. It holds annual conferences to bring local food champions from across the region together to discuss methods of supporting local food producers and growing local food economies. RFRL also organizes peer learning opportunities for 30 Mile Meal communities to share their knowledge, ideas and challenges with one another.
Most importantly the program owes its success to the participation of over 150 local farmers, food producers, and restaurants as well as the community members and visitors who support the program by dining local!
